Goog and I have been trying to mend out broken relationship, so I was totally excited when he invited me to meet him out at Open Social…which is his new social network hangout. But when I got there, I didn’t see him, didn’t know where to go, and the messages he left behind were totally confusing? WTF?
So long story short, I ended up hanging out with his new buddy MySpace, instead. He’s kinda cute..but I think he’s a little old for me.

Google’s getting freaky! (But he’s not…no really…trust me…he’s not FREAKY at all.)
Just the mere thought of Google developing a cellular phone has sent the wireless phone community into a tail spin. It is the fear of the all-knowing and powerful Google that has companies sharpening up their technologies faster than Y2Kers depleated the bottled water supply in 1999. They are scared, because if Google comes out with a Gphone, it’s gonna be amazing.
But before you trade in your Razor, Chocolate, iPhone, you may want to head on over to Silicon’s Favorite Gossip Mag, Valleywag and read their take on the scam situation. They seem to think that the GPhone is fake, that Google has no intention of putting out a phone and instead is using the publicity to drop 3rd party applications:
Google’s wireless software efforts will pull in existing mobile versions of Gmail and YouTube, among other Google services. But that’s not the key part, as my colleague Gizmodo editor Brian Lam has speculated. No, instead, Google’s hoping to establish a software platform that’s open to third-party developers.
Would I be disappointed if all the GPhone hype was a myth..yes..but then again I’m still waiting for my Commodore 64 to explode.
Ciao!

Thank you for your interest in Google AdSense. Unfortunately, after reviewing your application, we’re unable to accept you into Google AdSense at this time.
We did not approve your application for the reasons listed below.
Issues:
- Google Brand Features

Further detail:
Google Brand Features: We’ve found that you’re using Google Brand Features, including Google trademarks, logos, webpages, screen shots, or other distinctive features on your site or in your URL. As a result, we’re unable to accept this site into the AdSense program for the time being.
This guy got denied too!
Just got this in my inbox:
One of the concerns we’ve heard from many of you has been the slow loading times of our widgets. We really appreciate your feedback and comments in helping us improve in this area. So, today we addressed this issue by rolling out new code that ultimately delivers faster loading widgets.
It is very important to note that this update will require action on your part. You will need to update code of your existing widgets for the speedier load times to take affect on your site, blog or network. Know that changing the code will not impact earnings for any of your widgets.
Here are the two steps you’ll need to follow:
1. Sign-in to http://widgetbucks.com and go to My Widgets
2. For each active widget, simply edit and re-copy the code block into your site or blog (the same steps you went through when you created the widgets originally)Another option for updating code is to utilize the new categories and ad sizes we’ve incorporated over the last few weeks. Modifying a widget’s size or category — or creating an entirely new widget for that matter — will generate the new code that can then be re-copied to your site or blog.
Also, if you have questions specific to your WidgetBucks account, email us at help [at] widgetbucks [dot] com. We will do our best to back to you within 24 hours. If you have a general comment or need something clarified that can help you and perhaps other publishers, feel free to post a comment on this blog.
The new code DOES NOT contain a link back to Widgetbucks! Notice they fail to mention the real issue, that WidgetBucks Got Banned by Google!
Google banned Widgetbucks!
If this is not a direct threat at my livelihood..I don’t know what is! As first reported by JohnChowDOTcom, a Google search for Widgetbucks or WidgetBucks.com yields NOTHING! Some are speculating that it might have something to do with stipulation in the Widgetbucks TOS requiring a link back to them. Others think it may have something to do with duplicate content being crawled. Or maybe it had something to do with hidden text links uncovered by GotChance.
What ever the reason…Stop it Google..you are scaring me!
I can’t even get Google on the phone, so I thought I would just address the whole Page Rank crisis here, so maybe y’all will stop calling my boyfriend!
Does Page Rank really matter? Some would say yes, others disagree.
Consider for a moment that Page Rank is like an Armani suit. (I’m a girl..I can’t help it) Although, nice to have and impressive to your cohorts..it’s not really necessary to perform your duties as a corporate drone…right? Page Rank is just that…an emblem of status. Sites with a PR of 2 can still outrank sites with a PR6, depending on traffic and backlinks. Page Rank is more of a qualifier. Like the Armani suit, a site with a PR 6, will likely garner more attention and respect, whether it deserves it or not is the question that traffic statistics will answer.
Bottom Line: Traffic matters, Page Rank Doesn’t.
Google…call me! Muah…I forgive you.
